PPA Director Resigns Amid Sexual Harassment Scandal

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A day after his suspension amid a growing sexual harassment scandal, the Philadelphia Parking Authority's embattled executive director has resigned.

PPA spokesman Marty O'Rourke confirmed that Vince Fenerty resigned Wednesday. This after board chairman Joe Ashdale said he'd recommend Fenerty's dismissal upon learning that a 2015 sexual harassment case was not an isolated incident.

Fenerty and the board had been under fire after the recent sexual harassment complaint came to light. In that case, although the board's investigation found that Fenerty had indeed harassed a senior staffer, he was allowed to keep his $230,000 a year job, a move Ashdale defended at a meeting Tuesday morning. That was before he was told that Fenerty had also been accused of sexual harassment in 2006.

The full board was scheduled to meet Thursday, when they were expected to announce a replacement.
