Powerball Ticket Worth $1 Million Sold In Northampton County

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Powerball ticket worth $1 million from the February 19 drawing was sold in Northampton County.

The winning ticket correctly matched all five white balls, 01-17-35-49-54, but not the red Powerball 34, to win $1 million, less 25 percent federal withholding.

Stefko Mini Mart located on 1907 Stefko Blvd. earns $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

According to Bambi Coyle of the Parks & Public Property Department, she was one of ten people that work for the city of Bethlehem who won the $1 million. She says they found out at work that they had won the prize and the ticket holder initially thought they had only won $1,000.

Coyle says they have been buying tickets for the last seven years whenever the jackpot soars.

Meanwhile, Wednesday night's $425.3 million Powerball jackpot, the fourth-largest ever, was won by one ticket sold in California. (See Previous Story)
