Positively Philadelphia: Beauty And Bargains

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- This coming Friday, the annual pottery sale is happening at the Clay Studio at 137 N. 2nd St. in Old City.

"We estimate we have at least 2,000 pieces of pottery at the moment. We're still accepting donations," says Naomi Cleary with the Clay Studio. "We have mugs, bowls, serving plates, vases, small sculptures, tiles."

And prices?

"Starting at three dollars up to about fifty dollars at the max. Most pieces are under twenty-five dollars. We refer to these as slightly less than perfect pieces but still absolutely beautiful. Local artists, working artists donate to us. Artists that we sell in our galleries donate pieces as well."

All the proceeds benefit the Clay Studio:

"The Clay Studio is a non-profit arts educational center. We're dedicated to the ceramic arts and enriching the lives of people through the artform."
