Pope Francis To Address Joint Meeting Of Congress In September

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Pope Francis will address a joint meeting of Congress when he visits the United States for the first time in September.

House Speaker John Boehner made the announcement and expressed gratitude that the Pope accepted his invitation.

The Pope's other stops include New York and Philadelphia for the World Meeting of Families on September 26 and 27^th.
