Poll: Temple Football Crushes Penn State, Named PA's Favorite College Football Team
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- You read that headline correctly. Chalk it up as another win for Temple football over Penn State.
A new poll has named Temple as Pennsylvania's favorite college football team.
The poll took place on Reddit, and voters were asked to pick their favorite football team by state.
478 people voted for Pennsylvania and 59 percent of them said the Owls were the favorite football team in the state. Penn State received 25.1 percent of the vote and 15.9 percent voted for Pittsburgh.
Obviously, the sample size is low. Sharing that poll at Happy Valley for a few minutes would have easily swung it in the Nittany Lions' direction.
Regardless of the circumstances, it's another win for the Owls.
