Police: Man Dies From Injuries Sustained In Northeast Philadelphia Accident

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A man dies from his injuries sustained in an accident that happened in Northeast Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon.

Police say 27-year-old Dennis Alexander died Wednesday morning. Alexander was standing in front of his disabled minivan on Woodhaven and Thorton Roads pouring fluid in the radiator when his car was hit by a 2015 White Honda Accord.

The crash caused Alexander to be pushed onto the highway where he sustained head trauma and multiple injuries.

Twin 2-year-old girls were seriously injured in the accident. A 28-year-old woman was also hurt.

Police say the driver of the Honda was taken to Hahnemann Hospital and placed in stable condition.

The accident is under investigation.
