PIKE CREEK, Del. (CBS) – A Wilmington man is under arrest after he allegedly stabbed another man in the head with a steak knife.

On Friday morning, officers responded to Leach Hall on the campus of Goldey Beacom College at 4701 Limestone Road in Wilmington for reports of an altercation.

When they arrived, they located a 19-year-old male suffering from a stab wound to his head.

Police then learned the victim had been involved in a physical altercation with 19-year-old Tykee D. Hyland after he had attempted to break up a fight between Hyland and his girlfriend.

During the fight, Hyland allegedly retrieved a steak knife and stabbed the victim in the head.
