Police Seeking Suspects For Robbery, Shooting In Fishtown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) –  Philadelphia Police are on the hunt to identify two suspects responsible for a robbery and shooting in Fishtown.

Early Saturday morning, a 25-year-old male and his friends were walking on the 100 block of West Thompson Street when a late 1990's Green Ford Explorer stopped at the end of the block and two suspects exited the vehicle.

The suspects both pointed guns at the victim and his friends while demanding money. When the male refused to hand over his property, the first suspect fired three shots at him, striking him once in his left leg.

A second suspect approached the group and took a wallet containing $70 and identification.

The victim and other witnesses then fled the area and called police.

The 25-year-old male was transported to Temple Hospital and treated for a gunshot wound.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 20-30-years-old, 6'2" tall. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with his face covered. The second suspect is described as a black male, 20-years-old, 5'8" tall, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt.
