Police Seek Man After 2 Attempted Child Lurings in Montco

By Brad Segall

WEST NORRITON, Pa. (CBS) -- Parents in two Montgomery County communities are on high alert after two attempted child lurings last month.

Meanwhile, police have released a sketch of the man they're looking for.

Authorities in West Norriton say they are investigating an attempted luring on January 27th.  They say a ten-year-old girl told police that after she got off a school bus near the intersection of Marshall and Liberty Avenues, a man followed her home, asking if that's where she lives.

The girl says the truck then fled on Liberty, toward Burnside.

The man is described as a white male between 20 and 30 years old, with short, dark hair. He was wearing all black clothing and dark sunglasses.

Police in Lower Providence reported a similar incident two days later, at E. Mount Kirk and Walker Lane.   A 12-year-old girl described a similar man who was staring at her.

Police are looking for an older, grey or white pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet.  It may have New Jersey registration.

Anyone with information should call West Norriton Police at 610-630-1701.
