Homeless Woman Assaulted In Camden

CAMDEN, NJ (CBS) – Police are investigating an assault on a homeless woman in Camden.

The incident happened near Mt. Ephraim Avenue in the area of Sheridan and Jackson Streets late Monday or early Tuesday.

Police say the 54-year-old woman showed up at Virtua Hospital around 1 a.m. on Tuesday with multiple injuries, including lacerations to her head and ears. Police also believe she may have been dragged and say there could be multiple suspects.

On Wednesday, police could be seen handing out fliers with information on the assault to drivers in the area.
