Police Searching For Suspect Responsible For 2 Robberies In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police in Philadelphia are searching for the suspect responsible for multiple Metro PCS store robberies.

The first incident happened on Feb. 5th when an unknown black male armed with a handgun entered the Metro PCS store at 2823 West Girard Avenue. Once inside, the suspect demanded money and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register as well as the store employee's cell phone.

In the second robbery on Feb. 9th, the suspect entered the Metro PCS at 2239 Cecil B. Moore Avenue armed with a handgun. That suspect then pointed the gun at an employee and demanded money.

After taking an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled and was last seen heading north on 23rd Street.

The suspect is described as a black male between 20 and 30 years-old who was wearing a dark colored jacket, a black scarf, a black mask, blue jeans and black sneakers.
