Police Searching For Mom Wanted In Accidental Shooting Death Of Daughter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a mother who is wanted in the accidental shooting death of her 11-year-old daughter inside their home.

The girl was accidentally shot and killed by her two-year-old sibling.

Detectives are currently searching for 31-year-old Tiffany Goldwire. Goldwire is wanted for involuntary manslaughter in connection with the shooting death of her 11-year-old Jamara Stevens on April 5th.

The shooting happened inside the family's home in the 3800 block of Wallace Street in West Philadelphia.

Investigators say four children -- a 14-year-old, 11-year-old, seven-year-old and a two-year old -- were at home together. When their mother left the room, investigators say the two-year-old got hold of a loaded gun left in a bedroom by the mother's male friend.

Police say the girl was shot in the arm and the bullet entered her chest. The mother and authorities rushed her to Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia, but she later died.

The search is ongoing for Goldwire.
