Police Searching For Man Wanted For Hotel Robbery On City Avenue

WYNNEFIELD HEIGHTS, Pa. (CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect they say robbed a 20-year-old woman in Wynnefield Heights.

On Friday, April 11th around 5 p.m., the female was staying at a hotel room inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel located at 4010 City Avenue when an unknown male knocked on the door.

When the woman answered the door, the suspect reportedly entered the room and pulled a handgun, forcing her to the floor and demanding money.

After the victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, he allegedly tied her hands together behind her back then fled the scene.

Police say this suspect may be the same man involved in a similar robbery that happened at the Extended Stay Hotel at 9000 Tinicum Boulevard earlier this month.

The suspect in the Crowne Plaza incident is described as a black male who is about 6'2" and 250 lbs with a muscular build, dark complexion and braids in his hair. He's around 30 years old and was wearing a gray shirt with white shorts and a bandana on his head.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
