Police Searching For Man Seen Throwing Molotov Cocktails At Philadelphia Residence

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect caught on surveillance video attempting to throw Molotov cocktails into a residence in Richmond.

Police say that around 2:10 a.m. on Jan. 9, an unknown male was captured on video trying to throw the incendiary device into a residence on the 2600 block of N Frankford Avenue, breaking the window of the home.

The remains of the device, which didn't explode, were on the sidewalk in front of the residence.

Surveillance video from the area reveals the suspect attempting to firebomb the residence unsuccessfully five times.

The suspect is described as a male who was wearing a hooded coat with a hooded sweatshirt underneath, a black hat, sweatpants and white shoes.
