Police Searching For Gunman After 37-Year-Old Man Shot, Killed In Germantown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A 37-year-old man has died after police say he was shot and killed overnight Sunday. The incident happened around 2 a.m. on the 4900 block of Laurens Street in the city's Germantown neighborhood.

Police say the victim suffered gunshot wounds to his head and chest.

Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

"We've located five shell casings and a couple of projectiles, also a cellphone, which may or may not have been the decedent's," Philadelphia Police Captain, Lee Strollo said.

Investigators are checking homes for surveillance video as they search for a suspect.

No arrests have been made.
