Police Search For Driver In Hit-And-Run That Killed Woman

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle who they say fatally struck a 27-year-old woman and fled the scene in southern New Jersey.

Galloway Township police say Aubrey Servis was walking in a crosswalk on the White Horse Pike late Monday when she was hit by the vehicle. The Little Egg Harbor woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say witnesses told them Servis was crossing the road when a silver sport utility vehicle ran a red light and hit her. Police say the vehicle should have damage on its driver side.

The road was closed for hours while police investigated.
