Police Search For Rape Suspect In Delaware
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – New Castle County Police are searching for a man accused of raping a woman last week.
On Wednesday, August 27 around 11:43 p.m. New Castle County Police responded to the 1600 block of Coleman Street for the report of a rape.
Upon arrival, officers found the 29-year-old victim who said she was accosted and sexually assaulted.
Investigators say the suspect is described as an African-American male in his early 20s, 5'6"-5'7" tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket and dark sweatpants.
He fled in an older model Silver sedan with temporary Delaware registration.
Police say an investigation revealed this is an isolated incident and they are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect.
