Police Search For Juveniles Accused Of Pelting Homeless Man With Rocks
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are looking for two juvenile suspects who they say assaulted a homeless man in the vestibule of a TD bank in South Philadelphia.
On May 29 around 10 p.m. authorities say a 42-year-old homeless man was taking shelter from the rain inside of the bank on the 2600 block of South 5th Street when he was pelted with rocks by two male suspects who opened the door of the bank and then ran away.
The incident, all caught on camera, then shows the suspects coming back and approaching the victim inside of the bank and throwing more rocks. They also pushed a shopping cart inside the door, forcefully pushed it into the victim and then ran away.
Police say at this point the victim was curled up on the floor of the vestibule, suffering from his wounds, when the suspects came back again and started throwing rocks at him, this time at a closer range.
They then fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported to Methodist Hospital where he was treated for minor cuts to his head, as well as neck pain. He is listed in stable condition.
The suspects are described as two black male juveniles wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.
