Police Search For Gunmen In Olney Double Shooting

By Tim Jimenez

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Philadelphia police are searching for the gunmen who shot two people during an argument in the city's Olney section early Wednesday morning.

A 20-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the chest and a 23-year-old man was shot in the hip. Both are hospitalized in stable condition.

Chief Inspector Scott Small says 20 shots were fired at around 12:30am near 3rd and Wellens Streets. He says stray bullets hit four parked cars and a few houses.

"So the three houses that were struck by gunfire, there are no injuries. Police checked on the well-being of all these homes. There were no injuries from stray bullets," he said.

He says surveillance cameras caught all of this on tape, which they hope helps bring in the shooters

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the shooters. Anybody with information is asked to call 9-1-1.
