Police Search For Angry Dad Who Punched Man At Upper Darby Wawa

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) -- A confrontation inside an Upper Darby Wawa sent one man to the hospital and police looking for the man who they say knocked him out. Authorities say the suspect went too far trying to protect his daughter's honor.
The incident happened around 5 p.m. Sunday at the Wawa store on 69th Street near Patterson Avenue. Upper Darby police say a man, with his teen daughter, approached another man ordering who was ordering a sandwich.
"He accused the victim of looking at his daughter," says Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood.
Chitwood says the suspect then punched the 47-year-old victim in the face.
"There is no indication that the victim said anything to this young lady or touched this young lady," Chitwood says. "The accusation was he was looking at her."
Chitwood says the victim denies even looking at the girl -- and police are treating this as an assault case.
"The victim suffered a laceration to his head," he says, "and a possible concussion."
Police say the suspect left the scene in a four-door car, possibly a Ford.
