Police: 3 Robberies In About 40 Minutes In Society Hill

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say they are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with three gunpoint robberies in Philadelphia's Society Hill neighborhood last weekend.

According to Philadelphia Police, the first robbery happened around 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 on the 300 block of S. 5th Street.  At about 9:25 p.m., police say the second robbery occurred along the same block.

Police say the third robbery happened at Front and Dock streets at about 9:40 p.m.

Police say the suspect is described as a black male, about 20-years-old, 6'0″ to 6'2″, thin build, clean shaven, wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, black baseball cap, jeans, black sneakers, and armed with a handgun.

Police believe the suspect is driving a dark colored SUV with New Jersey license plates.
