Police Release Surveillance Video Of Suspect Accused Of Vandalizing The Union League Staircase

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police have released surveillance video of the man they say damaged The Union League staircase after he ripped the brass railing off.

The incident happened around 3 a.m. Monday morning.

Police say an unknown black male pulled the brass railing from the stairs of The Union League on Broad Street.

The suspect caused severe damage to the front of the building.

Authorities say surveillance video captured images of the suspect, who was last seen west of Samson Street from 15th Street.

Police describe the suspect as 40 to 50 years old, with a thin build. They say he was wearing a dark hooded jacket and blue jeans.
