Police: Man Abducted In Southwest Philly, Let Go In Olney

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating a reported abduction case that ended in Olney Monday morning.

According to investigators, the incident began when an unidentified man was approached by four men while walking on Crescent Road in Southwest Philadelphia.

Police say the male was assaulted and thrown into a dark-colored car. The male was eventually let go in the 700 block of W. Chew Avenue in the city's Olney neighborhood.

Police were called to the scene and the male was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition.

Authorities say one of the suspects attempted to run away, but was apprehended by officers. He is being questioned by investigators.

The other suspects remain on the loose.

The incident remains under investigation.
