Police Probe 5th NJ Home Invasion Targeting Indians

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — Authorities in Middlesex County are investigating another home invasion targeting residents of Asian Indian descent.

The latest incident occurred on Saturday evening. Police in Old Bridge say an undetermined number of men entered a home there, restrained family members and stole cash and jewelry.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey says the home invasion was the fifth in the county over the last several weeks in which the victims were Asian Indians. Three have been committed in Old Bridge, one in South Plainfield and one in Edison.

No arrests have been made, and it isn't known whether the robberies are related or if any suspects were involved in more than one robbery.

Crime Stoppers of Middlesex County is offering a cash reward for anyone providing information.
