Crews Rescue Worker Trapped Inside Sinkhole In Old City

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia firefighters rescued a worker trapped inside an 18-foot sinkhole late Saturday afternoon in Old City.

Police say the sidewalk caved in, and pinned a worker inside around 3:30 p.m. at 4th and Market Streets.

The worker was rescued around 5 p.m. His condition is not known at this time.

PECO officials confirm there were no power outages in the area. PECO did check for underground equipment damage.

SEPTA officials say service has resumed after it was interrupted during the rescue.
