Suspect In Custody After Police Respond To Reports The Man Was Armed With Sword

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --A man is in custody after a barricade situation in the Juniata section of the city.

Shortly after 11 a.m.,  police responded to reports of a man armed with a sword near Bristol and K Streets nearby the Juniata Golf Club.

Responding officers tasered the man, who they say then pulled the taser prongs out and ran inside a house.

Police arrested the suspect without incident.

No charges have been filed at this time.
