Police: Man Targeted In Hit-And-Run Crash In Collingdale

COLLINGDALE, Pa. (CBS) -- Police say a man was targeted in a hit-and-run crash in Collingdale, Delaware County  early Saturday morning.

It happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. along the 900 block of Bedford Avenue.

Authorities say it appears the driver of a Range Rover intentionally accelerated toward a man as he was either entering or exiting his parked car prior to hitting him. The suspect then crashed into a Chrysler 300 before jumping out of his vehicle and fleeing in a getaway car.

Conroy Williams has been identified by Collingdale Police as the owner of the Range Rover.

The victim was rushed to Crozer Chester Medical Center with severe head and severe lower body injuries.

Police impounded the striking vehicle, but they are searching for the getaway vehicle which is described as a light blue SUV.

So far, there have been no arrests and there is no word on a motive.
