Police: Man Shot Several Times While Sitting In Vehicle

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Authorities say a 27-year-old man has been shot several times in the East Oak Lane section of the city.
Police reported to 65th Avenue and Front Street around 10:45 Sunday evening.

When police arrived, they found shell casings but no victim. They later learned someone drove the man to the hospital.
The victim was shot several times while sitting in a vehicle, police say.
"We don't know if he was a driver or a passenger," said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small. "A male walked up and fired multiple shots into a vehicle, striking the victim, as well as the vehicle."
The victim is in critical condition with gunshot wounds to the stomach and chest.
No arrests have been made at this time.
