Police: Man Killed, Woman Suffers Broken Legs After Struck By Two Cars In Nicetown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia police are investigating a crash that killed one person and seriously hurt another in Nicetown. A man and woman were crossing the street at 19th Street and Hunting Park Avenue late Thursday night when not one, but two cars hit them.

The man died and the woman suffered two broken legs.

"After being struck by the Nissan, they were then struck by a Honda sedan that was traveling westbound. So both of these victims were struck by separate vehicles," Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

Neither of the victims have been identified yet.

Police say the pair was walking against the flow of traffic and both drivers stayed at the scene.
