Police: Man Dies In Single Vehicle Crash On Cobbs Creek Parkway

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police responded to a single-vehicle car accident in southwest Philadelphia early Saturday.

Police: At Least 2 Dead Following Crash On Route 42

Police say a 54-year-old man hit a traffic light on Cobbs Creek Parkway near Florence Avenue.

The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and the driver was trapped inside.

Medics had to remove him and then he was transported to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

It is unknown whether or not DUI played a role in this crash.
