PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (CBS) --- Philadelphia police say a man is in critical condition this morning after fleeing police in Bensalem and crashing on the Roosevelt Boulevard.

Police are trying to determine his identity and they say charges will be filed when he regains consciousness.

According to police, the driver was blocking the driveway of a Neshaminy hotel, about 11, last night, when a Bensalem police officer pulled up behind him. Police say he reversed into the police car then fled down the Boulevard, ignoring traffic signals.

They say, when he went through a red light at Haldeman Avenue, he was struck by another vehicle and lost control of his car.

The other driver suffered only minor injuries.
