Police: Man Beaten With Crowbar For Wearing Trump Shirt

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. (AP) — Authorities are investigating after police say a 62-year-old man was assaulted with a crowbar in the parking lot of a New Jersey restaurant for wearing a Donald Trump T-shirt.

Police say the man was walking in Bloomfield last week when the suspect in a vehicle questioned him about the shirt of the Republican presidential candidate and directed profanities at him.

Authorities say the suspect exited his vehicle with a crowbar and struck the victim several times.

The victim suffered injuries to his arms, hands and thighs and was treated at the scene. Police say the suspect fled before officers arrived.
