Police: Lancaster County Boy Killed After Feed Cart Tips Over Onto Him

LINCOLN, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a 9-year-old boy was killed in an apparent accident on a central Pennsylvania farm.

Police in Lancaster County said a feed cart weighing several hundred pounds tipped over and fell on the child on the Ephrata Township farm shortly after 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Police said the youngster was a Stephens resident whose father was at the farm on a business matter. His name was not immediately released.

Police said in a news release that evidence suggests that the death was an accident but the coroner's office is also investigating.
