Police Investigating Several Reported Burglaries In Absecon

ABSECON, N.J., (CBS) – Police are investigating several burglaries that have been reported within the last month in Absecon, Atlantic County.

Absecon Police say at about 4 a.m. Sunday the Sunoco Gas & Minimart at the 400 block of White Horse Pike was burglarized. Police found the front of the building had been pried open and entry was made.

According to police, a suspect entered and stole an undetermined amount of money from the register, cigarettes, and a box of Snickers candy bars. The business was closed at the time of the burglary.

Police say the city of Absecon has also been experiencing several reported shed burglaries within the last month in the area of South Shore Road. Items stolen consist of large amounts of landscaping equipment, according to police.

These cases are still under investigation.
