2 Arrested Following Home Invasion In Gloucester Township, NJ

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) -- Police say two people have been arrested after a foiled home invasion in Gloucester Township, New Jersey.

Officers were initially called for a report of several suspicious males walking around a residence on York Terrace in Camden County.

Upon arrival, police were met by one of the residents running from the home. He told authorities that people had broken into his house, assaulted him and they were still inside.

Police were able to arrest two male suspects but it was reported a third fled on foot, causing some schools in the area to temporarily lockdown for about an hour as a precaution.

The two men are in custody for robbery and officials say additional charges will be pending.

An investigation is still ongoing.
