The death remains under investigation.

Authorities in Delaware County, Pa. are still investigating to determine whether the deaths of three elderly residents in the past couple of days can be attributed to the cold and snow (See Related Story).

CBS 3 spoke to several groups in the area who say they are doing everything in their power to make sure that tragedies like those don't happen again.

It might look like just a game of pool or tune on the piano, but at this senior center in Folsom these people are creating a community, they look out for each other and that is important in weather like this.

"If you know you have elderly neighbor or family member please check on them and make sure they are okay," Denise Stewart, Director of Delaware County Services for the Aging said.

Registered Nurse Dianna Costa of Home Helpers says it can take only a second for loved one to make his or her way outdoors and then it might be too late.

"They don't have the shivering response that we have sometimes, and they don't react to the cold as we do," she said.

It is something they are aware of here in Folsom and so they are spreading word to keep each other safe.

With bitterly cold temperatures expected through the end of this month, the threat of exposure is certainly not going anywhere anytime soon.
