Philadelphia, Temple University police investigating incident after shots fired near campus
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Temple University police and Philadelphia police are investigating an incident after they said gunshots were fired near a highly crowded area close to Temple University's campus.
Police said they received a 911 call just after 4:30 p.m. that more than 500 people had congregated at the intersection of Broad Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue.
Temple police shared on X that both police forces were working together to break up the large crowd of people when they heard the shots fired right before 6 p.m.
Temple Police and Philadelphia Police were working to disperse a large group of juveniles when officers heard gunshots just before 6:00pm. At this time, no injuries have been reported. Police are remaining in the area of Broad St. and Cecil B Moore Ave.

There are no injuries reported at this time, police said.
Law enforcement officials said police will remain in the area of Broad and Cecil B. Moore.
