Police Investigating Fatal Shooting In Northwest Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say a 19 year-old man is dead and a 29 year-old man is injured after a shooting in the Northwest Philadelphia.

It happened around 6:40 pm Saturday at the 300 block of East Wister Street.

Authorities say the 19 year-old man was shot once in the chest and was taken to Einstein Medical Center by police. He was pronounced dead at 6:58 pm.

Police say the suspect, a 29 year-old man, walked into the emergency room of Einstein Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the right side in the rib cage area.

He was arrested for the shooting and is in stable condition.

No weapon was recovered from the scene.
