Woman Claims Man Broke Into Home, Sexually Assaulted Her In East Germantown, Police Say

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A 19-year-old woman claims a man broke into her home and sexually assaulted her, police say. The incident happened at 12:30 a.m. at her home on East High Street in Philadelphia's East Germantown neighborhood on Sunday.

Police say the woman was sleeping in her bed when she woke up to find a man standing over top of her, inappropriately touching her.

She then screamed and the man fled through a back window, according to police. The screen of the window had been removed.

She told authorities that she did not know her alleged attacker.

No arrests have been made.

The investigation with Philadelphia Police's Special Victims Unit remains ongoing.
