Police Investigate Stabbing Outside Bar In Manayunk

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say a man was stabbed during a fight overnight at a night club in Manayunk.

It happened around 1 a.m. Sunday near the Mad River Bar & Grille in the 4200 block of Main Street.

The 24-year-old victim told police he was walking inside the club when he was approached by a man who claimed he had robbed him of $1,500. He said after refusing to go outside, the man pulled a knife from his pocket. The victim told police he then punched the man and a fight ensued, and that's when a second man struck him in the side.

Police said the bouncers broke up the fight and it was at that point the victim realized he had been stabbed.

The victim was taken to the Temple Hospital in stable condition.

Police arrested the first man but authorities were still searching for the stabbing suspect.

The identities of the victim and two offenders were not immediately released.
