Road Rage Leads To Police Pursuit In Gloucester Township

CLEMENTON, N.J. (CBS) – Police are investigating a bizarre case of road rage in Gloucester Township.

Police say the incident occurred on Blackwood Clementon Road and Millbridge Road.

Authorities say Carl Costantino, 55, approached another driver, Michael Brown, 49, who then allegeldy swung a box cutter at Constantino from the driver's seat of his vehicle, cutting the victim's left hand.

Both drivers then pulled over into the nearby Shop Rite.

As Gloucester Township police arrived, the vehicle driven by Brown fled from officers and a short pursuit was initiated, which ended with him surrendering at his home in Pine Hill.

Constantino declined medical treatment. He also refused to provide a statement regarding the investigation; therefore no criminal charges have been filed at the time.

Brown also refused to cooperate or provide any details to police.

Hehas been charged with eluding police with means to create a substantial risk or causing physical injury to a public servant or others, driving with a suspended license and several other violations.

He has been remanded to Camden County Correctional Facility in default of $50,000 full cash bail.
