Police: Man Dies After Wilmington Shooting

NEW CASTLE, Del. (CBS) -- Police say a 26-year-old man has died following a shooting in Wilmington, Delaware.

Wilimington Police say just after 4 p.m. Tuesday, units responded to the area of the 900 block of E. 17th Street. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso and abdominal area.

Authorities say he was rushed to Christiana Hospital in critical condition. He later died, according to police.

There is no word on a suspect at this time.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division Homicide Unit are investigating this incident.
