Police Investigate Reported Sexual Assault Of U. Of Delaware Student

NEWARK, Del. (CBS) -- Newark Police are investigating after a University of Delaware student reported she was sexually assaulted Saturday night.

Authorities say the 20-year-old female reported that on October 15th around 10:30 p.m. she was walking on Corbit Street in the area of Wilson Road when a suspect approached her from behind and pushed her against a parked car.

The female told police the suspect sexually assaulted her and then fled the area on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, light color hair, medium build, 6' to 6'3" tall, wearing a flannel shirt and a beanie hat.
