Police Investigate Drive-Thru Robbery At Dunkin' Donuts In Northeast Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are on the hunt for the people responsible for a hold-up Tuesday morning at a Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened around 4:15 a.m. at the Dunkin' Donuts on Torresdale Avenue near the Erie-Torresdale stop of SEPTA's Market-Frankford line when a woman driving an older, white Lincoln Navigator ordered an iced coffee.

Police say as she pulled up to the drive-thru, the woman, who was wearing a knit hat reading "Thug Life," threatened to shoot the cashier unless she gave her the money in the register. The cashier, seeing someone in the back seat holding a gun, handed over the cash.

The suspects then drove off.

The SUV is believed to be 10 to 12 years old, has tinted windows and a factory-style sunroof.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
