Police Investigate Deadly Hit-Run In Delaware
NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run in Newark, Delaware Tuesday morning.
Authorities say an initial investigation has determined the crash happened just before 6:45 a.m. on northbound DE Rt. 1 at the I-95 northbound on-ramp.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead and the driver failed to remain at the scene, police say.
Northbound Rt. 1 in the area of I-95 northbound is closed to traffic and commuters are urged to find alternate routes around the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
