Police Investigate Bomb Threat At Newark Car Dealership

NEWARK, Del., (CBS) – Police in Newark, Delaware are investigating a bomb threat at a car dealership Wednesday night.

At 5:23 p.m., Newark Police say an unknown suspect called in a bomb threat at an unspecified Porter Auto Group location on East Cleveland Avenue.

Four Porter Auto Group buildings were evacuated and K-9 teams swept the buildings for explosives.

Police say the investigation has determined that the threat was unfounded.

Cleveland Avenue was closed in both directions from Capitol Trail to Paper Mill Road for about 90 minutes.

The investigation is ongoing.
