Police: Instagram Helps Lead To Arrest Of South Jersey Pot Grower

SICKLERVILLE, N.J. (CBS) -- A South Jersey man is facing charges after police busted a marijuana growing operation being run at an abandoned home, and authorities say Instagram helped in the investigation.

Winslow Township Police say tips from concerned citizens led them to a home on Brearly Drive in Sicklerville, where police say 20-year-old Connor Kennedy was growing marijuana.

Investigators conducting surveillance on the property the week of July 13 say Kennedy was seen tending to the seven plants, which were planted on the rear deck and along the deck line.

Authorities say Kennedy also posted a number of photos of himself with the marijuana plants on Instagram, which helped them track him down through the photos' GPS properties.

Kennedy was arrested, processed and released.
