Police In Hamilton Township, NJ Warn Residents Of Shopping District Scam

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- Police in Hamilton Township, New Jersey are warning residents about a scam happening in the shopping district.

Police say several shoppers have been approached recently by two men and a woman attempting to sell magazine subscriptions. But, authorities say, it is a scam.

There were no additional details on how the scam works or if anyone has fallen victim to it.

Anyone who is approached by someone attempting this scam, or anyone with additional information, is asked to contact police at (609)-625-2700.
