Police Identify Suspect Sought in Center City Sex Assault, Robbery

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police have identified the suspect wanted in connection with last week's sexual assault and robbery of a tourist he met through a gay dating app.

Police say 26-year-old Douglas Spady, who goes by the alias Douglas Casey, made plans to meet the 34-year-old Canadian tourist at the man's hotel on Arch Street on April 9th through the app GRINDR.

When Spady arrived, police say he allegedly sexually assaulted the victim before forcing the him to withdraw $200 from five area ATM machines and also forced him to purchase four $500 VISA gift cards.

The victim was able to escape Spady when they arrived at the Irish Pub on Walnut Street.
