Police ID Suspect In Shooting Death Of 14-Year-Old Boy In Mayfair

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police have identified the man accused in the shooting death of a teenager in Northeast Philadelphia.

Authorities say 19-year-old price Samir Price has been arrested and charged in the November 28th murder of a 14-year-old Ian Wilsey in the Mayfair section of the city.

It happened around 9 p.m. in the 6200 block of Brous Avenue.

Investigators say Wilsey was walking with a 16-year-old friend when Price and another man approached them and opened fire, striking Wilsey.

He was rushed Aria-Torresdale Hospital where he died less than an hour later.

His companion, whose name has not been released by police, was not hurt.

Police say Wilsey was a ninth grader at Northeast High School. They say he would have turned 15 this month.

Price has been charged with murder, robbery and related offenses.
